Nielsen. Down Newbury Street, worth the walk to see representational paintings with nice surface.

Alpha Gallery. Another good space at the start of Newbury.

Miller Block. Gail Spaien and Joe Kievett show here.

Portland, Maine

Aucocisco. An artwalk must. Lauren Fensterstock and Nicole Dunnenbier show here.

Greenhut. Easy to miss, accross from Videoport. They show solid, technically apt painting. Don't be scared off by the frameshop.

Whitney Art Works. Another artwalk destination on Congress with an attractive space and exterior.

Susan Maasch. Just off Congress on Forest. Awesome shows, like William Bailey last summer.
